The FOD 5418, 5419, 5420 Variable Optical Attenuators are designed to simulate optical attenuation when checking the optical margins of newly installed telecommunication equipment. The device is suitable for singlemode application at 1310 and 1550 nm (FOD 5418), multimode application at 850 and 1300 nm (FOD 5419), or both singlemode and multimode application at 850, 1300, 1310 and 1550 nm (FOD 5420). They allow variable attenuation settings in range from 0 to 80 dB with resolution 0.05 dB.
